Model EX / EXE Control System

Self-contained hydraulic control for ESD functions

Model EX and Model EXE

Both are self-contained hydraulic control systems that facilitate the ESD functions of a hydraulically actuated surface safety valve, and both carry the same core components. They differ in how the system gets its pressure back: the EX is charged by hand with a manual pump, while the EXE carries an electric motor-driven pump and a junction box. Compare them below, then pick the one you want quoted.

Which one do you want quoted?
The accumulator, solenoid valve, quick exhaust and pressure gauge are standard components on all Model EX and EXE systems. What separates the EXE is the electric motor and the junction box — so the question is really whether the unit needs to recharge itself, or whether pumping it by hand is acceptable.

DTR System

Drain & Thermal Relief. Internal plumbing that relieves pressure trapped between the seats when the closed valve heats up.

No DTR is cheapest. Other options route relief to LH or RH flange, with cold-climate variants tubing-routed to drain.

The standard relief system relieves excess pressure in the valve cavity from thermal expansion when the valve is closed, and features a manual bleed to atmosphere.
