Piston Pneumatic Actuator
The Model PX pneumatic piston actuator delivers high-force output for demanding valve automation applications. Spring-return design provides fail-safe operation with fast response times. Ideal for applications requiring higher operating pressures than diaphragm actuators while maintaining the simplicity of pneumatic control.
The Omni Model PCX is an actuator control system designed to enhance the functionality of surface safety valves with pneumatic actuators. It automates emergency shutdown (ESD) logic, implements remote valve control, and provides valve position feedback to SCADA systems.
The Model PCX features a modular design built around a required Base ESD Module, with optional modules that extend capability. Each system can be customized for specific wellsite requirements by adding functional modules or adjusting individual components. The PCX mounts efficiently to any valve fitted with an Omni Model PX actuator, and can be adapted for actuators from other manufacturers.
Provides basic ESD functionality and remote control. The safety valve closes automatically on loss of solenoid signal power, or intentionally via PLC or wellsite control system.
Monitors a pressure source and triggers ESD if pressure exceeds or drops below set values. A reset relay bypasses the low pressure switch during startup.
Delivers valve open/close position feedback via proximity switches to SCADA or other wellsite monitoring systems.
